Cramp & cold

The other day I have a serious cramp on my right leg, and I tried and tried, the cramp won't go away.

Then suddenly a thought come into my mind, keep warm, so, quickly, I put on more clothes, socks and even the indoor shoes.

And to my surprise, the cramp, gone, completely, right away.

Marriage

This is again a question from my son which a friend of him ask him.

Can a couple live together after the marriage license is issued or they have to wait until the wedding ceremony?

Here’s my answer after thinking very hard for a long time.

Not everybody plan to or afford to have a wedding ceremony, therefore, if you are not to have a wedding ceremony then officially you are a married couple.

But if you are going to have a wedding ceremony then you should wait until after the ceremony.

all gone

Bacon, normally, I cook them with Brussels sprouts, and no matter how much Brussels sprouts that I cook, kids will eat them all without me to remind them.

Chocolate, strawberries coating with chocolate, the strawberries will be all gone in seconds.

Ice cream, if I say, we are going to have ice cream for desert, no matter what meal that I prepare will be finished in no time.

Baby shower

A: There's a baby shower coming, would you be able to come?

B: Oh! No, I have to work!

A: Don't worry! It’s at 7:00 pm.

B: Oh! But I normally don't go out at night!

The other day when we about to drive home from the restaurant and I tried to get in the driver side of the car, I hit my right side of the right knee with the car's steering wheel. I felt a sudden pain, and it's so painful that I almost faint, so I rest in the car for 1 minute or 2 before heading home.

Sprouts - 2

Not quite happy shopping experiences at sprouts lately, is that because the color of my skin or my hair? I have no clue.

Couple months ago I tried to buy some seafood from the seafood department, I was standing there for quite a long time and no one even bother to ask me, if I need help. And then finally someone help me with not quite happy mood and when I told him the second item that I what, he didn't even look at me or ask me which piece that I pick. He just quickly wrap them up and give them to me.

For a long time I didn't even want to go to the seafood department when there's something on sale.

Yesterday, I finally decided to give it a try again. At the beginning is quite OK, but when the worker was wrapping up the fish and before he gave it to me, this worker whisper something to the other worker. I cannot hear it clearly enough, but I can sense something fishy.

And I found a lot of the produces are not from the local farms, from Mexico, Chile and so on instead.

Mangoes

Those are the mangoes that I bought the other day from 99 ranch, feeling rather sad, we love mangoes.

valentine's day dinner

Those strawberries are supposed look like roses, can you tell, I know it's hard to tell.

The tomatoes around the plate are supposed to be the heart shape, I know, I know, again, they don't really look like. But the heart and bear shape cheese breads are not bad, right?

Just some random treats for this special day, kale chips, flavored sparkling water and pomegranate juice (it's not wine, OK!)

We decided to go to a restaurant near our house but we never been there since we move to this town for the pre-valentine's day dinner.

And cannot believe that we are the only customers from we arrived till done with dinner.

The restaurant is very quiet, even while they are cooking, food is OK.

Totally understand, but hard to accept sometimes, especially when someone that you know lost something precious.

Look at the life of Jesus, the only son of God, how He was born, how He was suffered to death for our sins and then raise from dead.

We don't have nothing originally, do we worth to own anything we have now?

Give all the burdens, questions, and doubts to our Lord.

Learn to face people who are facing difficulties, suffering or sometimes the people that we need to face are ourselves. And what about the people who are unbelievers. How to apply it to the real life?

Two weeks ago, I had a conversation with a senior unbeliever friend from the rehabilitation center. He encountered so many troubles lately besides his health problem, he lost his phone and he needed to have a ride to get to somewhere. As I listened to him, I felt really sorry for him but don't know if I can help him, so I prayed for him. And he asked me, will that help, will that give him a ride? I was silent.

computer for public use

There’s a computer for public use at work, occasionally, the network connection broke.

And as the IT professions always say, just restart the computer and it’ll work.

Normally, it takes like 3 or 4 times of restarts to get the connection working.

Today, it takes 11 times to get the connection to work, a lot more times of restarting than the usual, the funny thing is, when I done the 10th restart, I want to give up and go to the IT department for help, instead, I tell myself not to, because I can image that they'll say to me, oh, you should try the 11th time and then it'll work, for Sun Yat - sen, the founding father of the Republic of China, after 11 times Revolution uprising, 10 failures, and finally he establish the Republic of china.

Facial features finishing game

Facial features finishing game; put facial features together with a corporate team.

One team member at a time, blindfolded and spin around 3 times before go pick a facial feature and put it on the face.

Your team members only can vocally guiding you to the destination, opponent is allowed to misleading you.

A handsome face it is.

Tips for how to play good at this fun:

1). cooperation is a must.

2). trust in your team members' guiding.

3). distinct your opponents voice from your own team members, or you will be deceived.

4). when you arrive the destination, use your hand to touch the outline of the face board to get to know the location that the facial feature should go.

5). familiar with the environment before you get blindfolded; walk from the beginning line to the finishing line (how many steps that you need).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It’s a fun game, team members work together, trust them when you cannot see, learn to distinct your own team members' voice from the opponent's.

Who do you trust when you don't know what's ahead of your life? Learn to distinct right from wrong.

The past Sunday February 5, 2017 is the 51st Professional Football League (NFL) Super Bowl, the New England Patriots to the Atlanta Falcons.

The United States was founded as a Christian nation. Lately America did have a lot of changes going on, may God continue bless His people.

Super Bowl halftime show is held after the 2nd quarter, Falcons holding a 21-3 lead at halftime. And at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, a new score 28-3, I told my sons, look at the score, there's no need to compete, they should call it an end, for obvious that the Atlanta Falcons will surely be the companions!

This is first time ever that I watched super bowl, as a person who knows nothing much about the football, I judge these two final competition teams, both are not qualified for it.

A game, like this super bowl, dramatically win in the end, turn the game around start from after the halftime. Do you want to win your life battle in the end? What is your halftime, your turning point of your like? Mine is starting when I get to know Jesus, when I start to get involve in the serving ministry. do you also want and need life with blessing, passion, knowing someone love, pray for you no matter what, trust in God.

two events in one day - 2

What's my decision for these two important events on the same day?
1). I go to the older son's outing.
2). I go to the younger son's community service concert.
3). I get to manage to go to both of them.
4). None of the above.

Drum roll please … and the answer is... 4). None of the above.

Actually, I have a tight schedule today.

In the early morning, prepare breakfast, including cheese bread, pork ribs soup, oatmeal, Chinese sticky rice cake, and some fruits. Oh yeah! I love big breakfast, I'm the only one having a little bit of everything.

Then is our routine laundry day, this is normally done by my two bodyguards.

After this will be some simple lunch preparation.

And then, a grocery shopping to do, usually, I'm escorted by my bodyguards.

3:00 pm, a funeral to attend to pay respects and show support and sympathy.

Finally, Chinese New Year gathering of my old fellowship, a few phone calls to make in between.

Plans can never keep up with changes; my younger one's event ended much earlier than I expect, I’m still sick and too tired to prepare any food for lunch, didn't get to go grocery shopping at the scheduled time, after the funeral, we went for a quick shopping together for I have to bring something for the lunar new year gathering. The end.

two events in one day - 1

Oh! Man! Two events happen on the same day.

One is my older one's fellowship outing, the other is my younger one's community service, a concert performance.

I want to participate both of them, but it's on the same day and same time.

Help me, which one that I should pick, or should I not go both of them.

I’d like to characterize life as a group of people live in the same ship.

If you don’t like this ship, no matter is the ruler, the rules or anything else. You can have your choice of abandon this ship, go built your own ship or jump into another ship that you think is your kind of ship.

This ship can be little as a family, the school, the country, or as big as the earth or even the universe.

But once you determine to remain in the exact same ship, please accept it or even better to make efforts together to make it better. Don’t just complain or even worse to try to pull the leg of this community.

Another thing is, if you are no longer in a certain position, please does not nosy or bossy around its business. Questions like, do you guys have meeting this month, what do you guys say about, does she doing anything this year’s term, he is terrible leader, and so on, I’m sorry this really piss me off. Here, I have to apologize for using “piss me off”, that is not very polite. Well, then, behave yourself, will you?

sick day

You Don’t Know What You Have until It’s Gone.

I and my kids were sick the other day and I decided to stay home for two days.

As a mom, a sick mom, I tried to cook different soup and make honey lemon water and make sure every sick persons have them.

The first day that I stayed home, is really a suffering, I was tired, but couldn’t go to sleep, I was toss and turn in my bed. Talk about when you don’t have any strength to stand or sit, but when you lie down to try to get some sleep and you cannot, that’s a torture.

Like sister like sister, why do I say that I remembered there’s a time when someone said something not very nice to me and my ear infection got really worse and this time someone else said something not very nice to me and I had a serious cold, it must be a coincidence, I hope!

There’s no special remedy for cold, except, rest, enough fluid (salted soup), inhale salted steam, gargle with warm salted water, a joy heart and whenever you feel better go out a bit for fresh air but make sure keep yourself real warm, you don’t want to give the virus a second chance, alright.

3 chances vs. 100 chances

Maybe I’m too mean, I like to think to give people 3 chances before I decide to lose that person.

There's a person whom I really respect, well, I give her 100 chances, so far, are there any chances left, I truly don't want to talk about it. Sad. Sad. Sad.
