Last week

Back from school for three days, well, technically, two days three nights.

It takes a lot of time for traveling back and go, also spending time with friends.

I bought the things he needs to bring back to school and the food he likes to eat.

That’s all part of the journey of growing up and growing old totally accepted and understood still a bit of gloom.

Birthday

The first time that both kids were out of town.

Wait until 12.01am texting them to wish them happy birthday, that’s mom!

There’s one day they will fly out this nest and have their own.

They can not only take good care of themselves, but also their significant ones.

Cleaning plus yard work

Another way to relax and anti-depression. Dont forget to praise yourself doing a good job.

Volunteer

The best way to learn, grow, build your self image and such. It’s also full of laughter and tears.

And you never know that actually is a healing process for yourself when you are helping others.

Amazing!

Up north fire

By far the Mosquito Fire was 90% contained. That’s pray that it will be 100% contained soon and for the safety of everyone and everything that was affected by it especially for the rescue teams.

Tomatoes

The day when I drove back after dropping off my younger one from school. On the whole way home there were trucks with 2 trailers full with tomatoes driving south bound.

Now that every time whenever I saw the tomatoes at grocery shopping those images of big rigs came into my mind. Thinking how far were those tomatoes coming from.

Blessed

September 7, the day before we heading 5 North, the fire was 100% contained. And it reported that two lanes will be closed for safety investigation, when we drove by it was only one lane closed with little traffic jammed. September 8, when we arrived at our destination, it reported the part that was affected by the fire will be closed at night for repair or something.

September 8, there were also fires down south and it rained over the weekend though not much, but it helped, the fires were gone.

September 11, when I was heading back home alone the traffic was almost smooth except a little traffic when closed home and I missed the second rest stop for lunch & gas that my kid planned ahead for me. Luckily I had more than enough of gas before I finally got off the freeway to get gas. Though the gas price was a bit expensive, but quite easy to get back to the freeway and it was not much people getting at the gas station (next door gas station has cheaper price), therefore I rested around 20 minutes without moving my car at that gas station with shade. I ate, drank water and wept the windows clean before heading home.

From there I couldn’t hold my tears anymore, I drove and cried the way home.

Growing up and becoming independent best wishes and knowing God’s Grace will never run out.
