Birthday Chocolate Chip Cookies (2 dozens)
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking power
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Mix all the dry ingredients, brown sugar, wheat flour, baking power real well together. Beat in the eggs, then add in hot water, and then in the butter(cut them into small pieces). Finally, stir in chocolate chips, and nuts, form them into cookie dough.
Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
Wonder why I call this, Birthday Chocolate Chip Cookies, well, first it's for my birthday, second, I turn my family's traditional birthday meal, noodle and egg into cookies. Both of them have ingredients of flour, water, and eggs, only the cookies are far richer than a simple noodle and egg.
Get it, same ingredients in different forms, well, almost the same.
And the funny thing is, I happen to have exactly 2 eggs left in my fridge and walnuts at home. Oh! I just love it.
