· INGREDIENTS
3/4
cup unsalted butter, room temperature.
2
cups all-purpose flour
3/4
cup sugar
4
large eggs
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350
degrees.
Using an electric mixer
on high speed, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a

upright to cool completely.
Ever wonder why it’s called pound cake?
Here’s what I found on web.
True Pound Cake is a recipe that dates back to the 1700s. It gets the
name of pound cake, because of how
it's made. Originally, the recipe called for one pound each of flour, sugar, butter, and eggs.
