In charge of the entertainment for 3-15-2014 San Diego

trip, it seems a mission impossible at the beginning to me.

First my kids, they cannot make because they have their own activity to attend. Second I didn’t have any experience or idea about how to do it at all.

Somehow I take it and I don’t even feel scare or anything about it.

I don’t even worry a lot when they told me that the CD that we have may not be able to play at the bus DVD player. I know we all come prepared, we all going to help out if that really happen, and God is watch over us. Yes! You raise me up to the most that I can be.

Two weeks Friday before the trip, I couldn’t go to sleep until very late that night due to a small piece of coffee cake. That night all the ideas and songs keep coming into my mind just like the fountain flowing deep and wide. That is really amazing.

I don’t have any ides about who will be in our group of bus that day. Totally I pick six songs, two English, two mandarin, one Cantonese, and mix mandarin and English. I also randomly pick couples of small prizes from our house; I didn’t buy them, books, snacks, toys…etc

To my astonishing, half our group is new friends and more than half group people are Cantonese speaking. I don’t speak much Cantonese, but I do pick one of a very beautiful Cantonese song.

The travel is perfectly fine too.

And every body is participate, every body appreciate on everything we get.

wonderful san diego trip 3-15-2014

The past Saturday’s San Diego
Trip is perfectly wonderful. And thanks for so many people’s efforts. Almost every single of our rainbow fellowship members were part of the hard works.
We have people in charge of schedule the trip, arrange the bus, the breakfast, the entertainment at the bus, where to visit, the bus driver, the tour guide, inviting the new friends, collecting the fee, buying the entrance tickets, buy the stuff that we need at the trip, including snack, water and emergency kit, the prayer support, and each everyone who participate at the event, people donate their extra money and time for it, burning the CD for the songs, finding the best buffet restaurant and they even go best the trip to do the food taste make sure that the best for us to enjoy. I’m so enjoy and thanks for everything.

But if my two kids also can make it for that trip that’ll be perfectly perfect.

We have two buses with total more than one hundred people participate this trip.
I’m one of the bus entertainment hosts.

Before go on the trip we all worry about what if the CD won’t work with the bus DVD player. I pray and pray, but somehow I have the confidence in it. I know even the CD won’t work, God will bless us on our plan B. we all pray and go with fully prepare, we let go the worry and let God in charge of everything.

On the bus, we sing along, play games, ask interesting questions and give away many gifts. No one got car sick or get bored of the road trip.

Everyone give thanks and praise for my efforts, some old friends even say that they are surprised about me. Actually I’m the been surprised about myself, and I believe that it’s not me along doing the job that day, with all the support and love and encouragement from brothers and sisters and most of all the LOVE from our Lord together we fulfill the mission impossible.

Every stop was right on the schedule no delay no waiting for anyone even the traffic is superb.

(a) Before departure:
At Saturday the bus departure around 8:00am, we collecting the registration papers and give away the breakfast at the same time. No one is late for it, which is another mission impossible.

(b) Carlsbad
flower fields:The Carlsbad
flower fields establish at 1951. Our group leader even purchases the entrance ahead for us, so we don’t need to wait a long time to get in the fields. Is that wonderful?
Those flowers are so gorgeous, all different kinds of flowers, all different kind of colors, they even prepare some simple game for the kids help them to enjoy and learn about the nature. The wagon ride, kids activity, kid playground and the beautiful souvenir shop are ready for us to advantage of it’s free or with little fee.
Some people they went to the outlet store for shopping. They got good deals too. One of the ladies even changes into the new clothes right after purchase them. We are joking to her husband, wow! You got a new wife that is so hilarious. I bat that make all other husband jealous.

(c) Depart to the buffet lunch:
It’s twenty something minutes away, on the way; I play the VBS sing along video and questions with prizes.
We all satisfied with yummy foods. There are variety of foods to choice from, even including sushi, sashimi, ice cream, drinks and chief cook whatever you pick in front of you.

(d) La Jolla
beach:Before we have the free time for the beach, we took some group picture. But the auto picture taking function seem not work at that time, so we have some random guy took it for us, and he’s a very funny guy.
We have 3 hours to appreciate this lovely beach, sea lions, water activities, and/or the down town La Jolla. One of the sea lion swim to the shore, he/she enjoy to get close to the visitors and I also think he/she enjoys to be picture taken.
We are fond of the nature sight there and when comes to leave, no one feel like to go. Before we leave, most of us go to restroom, but the restroom was so crowd and dirty, so decide to leave for a close rest area to use the restroom.

(e) Going home:
On the way home a lot of the people were doze off, so we play a video for the people who were awake. When we were close to our stop, we sing more songs, some new and some from the songs that we sung earlier, sharing, games, and prize giving away. We got to our church at around 8:00pm.

The small price that we pay including every fee, transportation, tips for driver and the restaurant, the entrance fee for the flower fields, breakfast, buffet lunch, bottle water and snacks. It’s almost like impossible, but we make it successfully.

There are always many thanks to give. And when you pray, sometimes something may not look good at the beginning, but it turn out nicely afterward.

Last Friday I can not go to sleep until very late due to a small piece of coffee cake, so I use that moment to think about the worship plan for the coming Saturday San Diego trip.

And to my surprised, it comes out a lot of ideas for it. It’s not complete yet, so pray will you?

PASTOR JOSEPH

We are expecting Pastor Joseph and his wife come to join our San Diego trip.

To me Pastor Joseph has a special meaning to me. Back to around 11 years ago when I first come to a new church, I know one of the friend there, but I never tell her that I’ll go that day.

When that day come, I have my two young sons with me, and I’m a very shame person, I feel kind uncomfortable that day. When I an about to step in the church, Uncle Joseph is the first one to spot me, he give a warm welcome. He also invite me join the rainbow fellowship after service. Oh! I forgot to mention that pastor Joseph also ask us not to call him pastor, call him brother or uncle in stead.  That make a big different in my life.

I share this with my friends, but I never get chance to say thanks to Uncle Joseph in person. Thanks Uncle Joseph.

3-15-2014 SAN DIEGO WORSHIP

The outing is the coming Saturday, I’m one of the group’s worship group. But I still cannot settle down with songs, we got to have English song(s) too. And it needs to be easy, lively and Christian song(s).
Oh! Lord please helps me out.

Blessing is great and free. Does everyone want it?

So I want to ask that do we have a pastor or pastor’s wife here. There’s one (I know it secretly). Then I’ll ask him or her to pray for our trip, for the people who cannot make it for this trip, the driver, the tour guide………….. And special prize for pastor, driver and tour guide.
I also plan on some little games with winning prizes.

First one, name our fellowship’s name which rainbow light.
Second one, whoever shares a joke with us gets a prize.
Third one, pass around a stuffed animal, when the music/singing stop, whoever gets it will be punished by have that cute stuffed animal, surprised. (The More We Get Together 當我們同在一起, this would be a good and simple song to use for this game)
And I also have the VBS DVD and praise dance DVD for backup.

The last have some people sharing, three minutes per person.
