Cold

Oh! My, I think caught a cold.

But I know this one may not be my first cold for 2017, it'll be the last one for this year, in less than two days, it'll be another brand new 365 days.

And I know I'll be fine by tomorrow.

Besides my regular gaggle with salty water for my cold, I also drink a whole cup of very warm light salty lemon water and of course my routine prayer is my stronghold.

National day out

I don’t quite remember since when we go to this National Night Out at our city each year.

We always have fun time, walk around, browse all the booths, get some free gifts, watch the live performance and eat some not so healthy food (hot dogs, soda and colorful Popsicle…)

This year I got a build your own tip tap toe kit from Home Depot. But when I asked for one from the worker, she seemed not very happy and very inpatient.

Independence Day - 3

Normally, I try not to go out during the Independence Day night.

But yesterday, because my younger son was helping out on their fundraising fireworks selling stand, so I had to pick him up after he was done with his shift.

There were fireworks fired everywhere, it was smelly and some even fired in the middle of the road, literally. Mind that if I fired the fireworks in your house!?

I mean, I do appreciate their family or friend gathering on such a special day, but fired the fireworks in the middle of the road? I don’t get it!

Independence Day - 2

Do you still enjoying watching the fireworks?

Some said, I don't care to watch, it's just same old as each year.

I, still, each year, come out to our backyard and watching the fireworks, though, it is almost the same each year; to me, it's a once a year thing, I’d like to sit under the stars and try to recall things that happened the past Independence Day.

1996, the first time watched fireworks with my older son and my parents at the park, my son was so scared and I felt rather guilty to take him to the fireworks watching.

As they grow older, we went two different parks to view the fireworks, a totally different feeling when you watching fireworks close by. It’s like wows all the way, of course, besides, the loud noises and the smelly fireworks.

Then we decided to watch the fireworks a bit further from the fireworks showground together, and then we watched the fireworks right at our backyard, still together.

And now, they decided, it's nothing special to watch it, so I watched it alone.

Independence Day - 1

It's an odd date of a holiday, day off; go to work on Monday, which is yesterday, today, Tuesday, Independence Day, off, it feels like, Saturday, to me, and that's exactly how I wish tomorrow is Sunday.

Happy Mother's Day project :O - 2

The towel roses give away, not so success in church.

First I had to talk and pray with someone for something urgent then it ran out of time.

Secondly, yes, that's just another excess, I was kind of hesitate and shy to do so.

It ended up, I only showed how to make a towel rose to an elderly friend, and she didn't take it home, I’m guessing, it's either she forget or she didn't want it, once more, I’m too bashful to ask her.

Therefore, I brought all the towels home.

mother's day

Quick breakfasts for the kids are going to serve moms at church.

And I tried something today; I had the whole egg inside a lemon ring and bake it.

Again if you prefer a well done egg, don't forget to carefully turn the egg around at the half way of baking it.

It's a succeed except next time I should have a bigger and taller lemon ring for the egg white won't spill out.
