Finally, I use the shopping cart when I shop at ALDI, so I can shop longer time and more stuffs.

When I push the shopping cart out and getting ready to take my quarter back, a lady asked for my shopping cart and handed me her quarter, I said, of course to her.

And then immediately, in my mind, I said to myself, oh! No, what if her quarter or my quarter is fake, or I just want my own quarter back, oh, well, sometimes, I just have too many random thoughts inside my head.

Shopping with or without a shopping cart is a totally different experience.

Another store that won't give rain check, is this the new trend now?

Something that I don't really appreciate it.

They don't give rain check like any other stores.

They change the limitations of amount for the on sale items according to the store stock not the printed flyer of weekly special.

ALDI - 3

Yesterday, drove a little bit further than my regular grocery shopping territory to ALDI, for their egg and strawberry promotion, and something else, I’d like think its worthy.

But I do have one complain that on the ad, it said, the limitation for eggs is 6, they changed it into 3 in the store, for a reason, of course, is that legal to do so? I have no clue, yet, as a customer, I’m not quite happy about it.

About the shopping cart thing, I do think it's smart to do so, it save a lot of man power to push them back or even hire someone to take them back from far away. 

Also they have the customer to do their bagging, pretty smart too, save time and man power, and I have to say, sometimes, I do a better bagging myself.

Will that be part of the reasons that they can have better selling price?

Another thing that I noticed is, they have chairs for cashiers can sit on to do the checking out. I give it thumb up to the owner. And will this the reason that the cashiers look happier?

I like their website, that's what I call, user friendly.

Finally, two more grumbles from the point of a customer, can't they have double Wednesday saving weekly promotion like some other supermarket!? Also can't they have the Weekly ad ready on Tuesday!?

ALDI - 2

First I have to apologize about last time I mention about ALDI supermarket charge a quarter for using their shopping cart, later a friend told me that when you return the cart, it'll refund the quarter to you.  😅

Last week, I and 2 friends went on our routine walk at a regional park, we chatted about one of them, once carpool with an Actuary couple to do grocery shopping. And the husband, the Actuary had to browse, compare the price and shop for like 3 hours. That’s when she finally realized why no one want to carpool with them to the grocery store.

And I was telling my friends that that's how I do my grocery shopping, except not for 3 hours, and I was joking that then I should be an Actuary too.

This week I got the email of the weekly ad from ALDI, found that there are 2 items are on sale, strawberry 89¢, a 16 oz pack, egg 79￠, a dozen, I was shock and that's when I realized that why I was even not close to be qualified as an Actuary. I bought strawberries 4 packs for $5 last week and eggs 5 dozes for $5 not long ago. I didn’t foresee the price will drop in the near future. 😏

In other word, I lose money. 😔

Within 10 minutes

Wow! There are more than 10 supermarkets within 10 minutes form where I live.

How can you not shop around for the best price?

I normally study the advertisements and memorize them in my mind and decide which one to buy what.

And I know this is hard to believe to most of the grocery shoppers, but it's kind of fun sometimes when you know how much that you can save, is it?

ALDI - 1

First time shop there yesterday, overall I had a nice shopping experience, besides that they charge for using their shopping cart, I thought that I was at the airport.

It’s only a quarter for using it, I don't know, charge for the grocery bags, I can accept it, for the shopping cart, no really.

But on the other thought, that's probably a good way to prevent people stealing the shopping cart or push it home or far away and keep it tidy at the same time or I should say the store can make some money from that, ha-ha.

sister companies

Did you get to notice that a lot of companies or restaurants, they have alike promotions or advisement or even emails, that you received them almost at the time?

Are they all sister companies or they just simply copy each other?

Another question for you, Why sister? Why not “brother company”?

fresh & easy

one of the supermarket, fresh & easy is being here for couples, is closing down, it's a wonderful store. one of the store is just at the walking distance from my work. sometimes, I'll just grab something before I go home after work. so convenient and I'm so thankful for that. and it'll gone forever now.

Stores come and go, just like people come and go from our life, mix with sad and joyous.
