different opinion

What will you do? Or what do you prefer? Or what do you think it should be?

For example, when you receive an email from one of the fellowship member for requesting prayer on something, and then individual members reply the email with prayers.

But should we use reply only to the sender or use reply-all to all the recipients?

For me, I prefer just reply to the sender only, that’s your prayer for that member.

It’s OK for this particular member to use reply-all for any further updates.

However, my son, do have a different thought about it, “so that, what about in the prayer meeting?”

Rush weekday - 1

I had a rush weekday.

And last night, I thought, finally, I could have my regular Friday church night, a relaxing and soothing night.

Then, was when I pick my son up earlier from his band practice and rushing everyone to get ready for the church.

My son came out from bath, complained about severe migraine on his right side of head including his nose.

Quickly, I asked some questions regarding the headache; make sure that was not something serious that I need to rush him the ER or urgent care.

Tried anyway that I could think about to allay his pain by gently fanning him, provided him a cold drink, and then a bowl of warm soup, asked him to lie down.

At the same time I recalled that he called me and left the message around noon said that he walked to and from library, the library is not too far from our home, but in this hot day, almost 100°F and he didn’t even eat much, though, I did prepared a complete meal for them before I headed to work.

Shortly after that he went to the park for band practice. I meant, he sweated a lot and drank a lot of water, which is good, but he hadn’t’ eaten enough. Quite frankly, this led to a temporary electrolyte imbalance and a headache occurred.

I prayed for him silence and play this song over and over.

Thank God, he recovered after hours sleep and he ate some more food after.

I never except this rush weekday end with pain and worry (not Penn & Teller, ha).

I’m my sons’ private nurse or Dr. Mom.

Stormy out

I know that you've heard this same kind of story thousands of times before; the conflict between mother and sons things.

Tuesday, don't know or I don’t want to remember exactly what happened; either I am not happy about his talking or the other way around or we just cannot agree with each other.

My son stormy out the house, out the gate, out into the dark, out my tears and cook dinner alone and wait for his coming back.

It’s probably 10 or 15 minutes cooking and waiting. What else that I can do at that moment, regretting, praying, and listening to the Christian song.

What if something happen? What if he really run away from me? All that kind of negative thoughts came to my mind.

Love not just your kid, but your neighbors, your brothers and sisters in Christ and also your enemy. How about that?

He is my own blood.

should we prune the tree 1

This is a question that my son asked, weeks ago when we were on the way to church.

Well, how about you? What will be your answer?

For me, I agree, of course, otherwise, the tree will grow too tall or something. It’s also good for the tree itself.

And my son, obviously, not agree with that. Why do we make the decision for the tree, does it really need it, and even it won’t make noise, it doesn’t that it’s not hurting by that.

And sure enough that if you go on computer and Google, it shows all the reasons, how, why, and when to prune the tree. In realistic the answer is yes, but if a tree can talk, then, there will be definitely another story to tell, right?

Conversation

There's a conversation about their coming youth retreat with my son.

Me: So you guys are going to carpooling for the retreat, right?
Son: of course, what else?
Me: oh, how about, planepooling?
Son: yeah, right.
Me: Let' go buy a plane and you be the pilot!
Son: yeah! And everybody will landing with a parachute!

Ha!
