inside out

Inside Out Official Trailer - Disney Pixar Movie HD

A wonderful movie to watch with kids, young or old, if only they still willing to go with you.

This movie kind of correlates to the book, reclaiming your brain, which I'm reading now.

Five (Six) core emotions—anger, fear, sadness, disgust, joy, and (surprise).
Anger may destroy all your normal senses and ability, including how to react correctly and rightly.
Let out negative or sadness is necessary too, in order to restart again. It’s not healthy to suppress or overemphasize any of your feelings.

Normally, our Imagination, gone as we grow up, that’s sad.

Long term memory vs. short term memory.
How our brain decide to discard the memory that we don’t want or no long practice.

How the little girl, Riley Andersen is born in Minnesota, then move to San Francisco when she turn 11. How our 5 senses interactive with each other inside our brain, interesting science facts too.

season's greeting 2016

Almost end of year 2015, the other day I go posting posters for Asian American expo, 1 or 2 of business store, when I about to step in and ask for permission, a weird feeling, I feel like that I just went to do the same thing, same store, talked to the owner yesterday.
Surly time goes so fast. Seize every precious moment.

A Christmas Snow, a movie I saw the other night on TV.
http://www.imdb.com/video/wab/vi3573876505/
A touchy Christmas movie, I know some of the scenarios, don't seem real.
But truly there are some things that we should chew on.

Kathleen, has carried around the unwanted memory of her father abandoning her and her mother almost 30 years ago on Christmas Eve. She blames her mom for her dad's leaving and refuses to celebrate Christmas since.
It's your own choice whether or not to bear the pain or hurt or unforgiveness and being bitter to other all your life.

Sam, Kathleen's father, an alcoholic, abandoning his family, turns out that he is just like his own father.
I mean, you can be the one to break the curse on your family, agree?

Lucy, the daughter of her soon to be fiancé, lost her mom when she is little, and she's been seeing the psychologist since.
Lucy like a young psychologist herself, full of knowledge, but don't apply them to the real life is in vain.

IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE 1996

Trailer: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oBY3dx24-JY
In the blink of an eye: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hIU30Rmhoak
Amazing Grace as performed by Benjamin Payne

To tell you the truth, at the beginning and even until toward almost end of the movie, I almost give up on it, and feel very confused about what’s the movie is trying to show the audiences?

There are two police detectives after rescue a famous singer then both be invited by this singer’s manage onto to a yacht vacation to Mexico.

Both of the, Larry and David, take their loving with to the vacation. David can never relax from his work, the relationship with his wife, Lori, is kind of tight by then because of it.

Lori feels trap but want more loving attention by his husband, David, she then go and talk to Kevin’s wife, Sue, and tell her about her concerns and worries about their marriage, Sue then tell Lori about Jesus and how He can give peace, and Lori states that she wants that. She then asks God come into her life and becomes saved while they pray together.

Then comes the parts that I totally don’t get it at first, David’s dream about how his wife and his cop friend and his wife, they three just disappear in the middle of nowhere. And this dream just repeated over and over again, like four or five times, every time the result is the same, they disappear, and kind of like in the left behind, they in front of him and left the clothes behind, in the first his dream, his wife disappear while he try to ignore her and take a nap.

Every time he tries to solve the mystery, every time he gets to know more about his relationship with Lori and how is he desperate to win her back, the memory also bring him back to the bible, he even try to accept Jesus, only because that he can get her back to him but in vain.

Loving and accept the Lord’s Grace into your life is superb but if your intention is not right, you still won’t be saved. In the last of David’s dream, he finally realized this, so yeah, happy ending in the end.

One thing that I have to mention is in every David’s dream, he almost die, but every time wake up by his wife, Lori’s calling him to get up in the morning. That’s how they two receive Jesus’ love altogether.

retreat - better together - courageous - 3

Courageous is a Christian drama film, I like it a lot, although it costs me a lot of tears. It also has plenty of laughter in between.

I don't know what is this movie is about beforehand.  I encourage my kids watch it. When the movie is over, I cry so hard, I know my younger one watch the movie too. And I am so afraid of they will get hurt from this movie. The movie is all about how important is a father's in affecting a child's life. Their father are absent from their since they were so little. Pastor says, after watch movie then discuss it together is a healing process.

Five different fathers in this movie, those are the typically fathers in our everyday life, sometimes it maybe mix with more than one kind of father. Everyone has his or her origin family; they all play very crucial effects on our lives.

So far I still don’t have the courage to talk to them about it. I pray the Lord for forgiving me on a lot of things, including me sometimes aware of not aware and hurt either one of them. And we need to learn to let go the past, especially the hurts then we can move forward in the healthy way. We also need to forgive the unintentional harm.

It is principal to solve the damage before it is still small. Never hide it or ignore or pretend it didn’t happen. In some point of your life it will explode and become a big hurt to more than just one person.

Let go and let God.
