Weeks ago I met a senior couple
that insist to stay together, even the spouse have dementia. This is
the third loving couples that I’d been met for the past couples of years.
First
couple, the wife never let the husband who had dementia after a fall incident
to move in the nursing home. Though, it's really hard for the whole family but,
is, the best for the patient at the same time.
The
second couple, move in the nursing home with the very sick husband. Shortly
after the husband die and the wife stay at the nursing home.
The
third couple, the wife has been taking care of her husband who has dementia for
5 years, not long ago, she recovered from broken leg while taking care of her
husband, finally agree to move in the nursing home together, for she can still
take care of her husband every day.
Traditional Wedding Vows:
"I, [name], take you [name], to be my
[husband/wife], to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for
worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to
cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.
The traditional wedding vows, I wonder who even remember it
after the wedding ceremony or how many couples can really make it.
