singing in the rain
Singing
in the rain, I’m so enjoy in this scene.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=w40ushYAaYA
This
part of movie, it does bring back the memories of my feelings about the rain.
When
I was under 7, 8 years old, I love when it’s raining. As soon as I spot the
rainfall, I put on the raincoat, rain boots, sometimes with umbrella than rush
to the nearby elementary school’s playground and play in the rain. I kick, jump,
play, not dance but some moves just like in this particular movie scene.
Then
when I was older, around junior height, height school age, oh! I just hate the
raining. It’s wet and cold, especially for the school days, I have to carry the
heavy backpack, wear raincoat and rain boot and umbrella too, to make ensure the
backpack is fully cover too and walk to school. Once I get into to the class,
take off all the rain gears, and found I was wet not from the rain but the
sweat. I just can’t stand it.
As soon
as I was in college, my feeling about rain changes dramatically. To the raining
was so romantic, I could just lean on the windowsill and watching the rain,
particularly when I saw the loving couples sharing with one umbrella, and both
of them will try to protect their partner to get wet. It was a loving picture.
And when
I get out of school and work, I guess I become reality, I understand that rain
is very important. So, well, then rain, but please don’t during the day times,
when I need to go out in the wet, night times is perfectly fine, all right? And
now realize I was so selfish, people need to go out, work or school or some
other reasons too, right?
As
my age now, again, I’m not young but not that old. Typically, in California,
drought is kind of serious, so I always say, please rain, anytime, day or
night.
(And last night I did rain, and fortunately, it didn’t rain hard until the church event is almost over. thank God, the puppet show is successfully present and gathers up all their equipment way before it rain.)
You see here, exactly same person, me and all about the same feeling about the rain, but the whole totally different of impression about it. It’s all in your heart, you can chose being grumbling or joyfully.
So what in your wallet? Just kidding!
What’s in your mind? Do you know what
you really need? Do you make a right choice?
What’s your choice?Or be a matured person, be a appreciate person, a faith will lead you there.

SEMINARY
Years ago, a customer of mine, was joking at me, said, “You should
go to seminary study and become a pastor, there are a lot of pastors are needed
nowadays.”
Today after I did some sharing with a song to my evergreen college
classmates, one of the classmates said to me, “You should go to seminary study
and become a teacher to teach singing.”
I am startled. It caught me a lot of thinking.
Actually, it is kind of weird that the other when my friend called
me to ask me, do I want to meet a guy. That day in my mind I told myself, “if I
ever get a chance to meet a Mr. Right for the second chance, he has to be
either a pastor or someone can support a pastor and has to be a good singer.”

head injury from the past
Years ago, it’s more than
I went on a trout fishing
trip with couple of friends, actually only four of us. You need to start from
the early morning, before the sun is rising, around 4 or 5 o’clock in the
morning. First we drive to the destination then hike for hours to get in the
deep mountain then it’s the fishing time.
It’s not the first time I go.
I really enjoy the natural and everything except you need to get up early
morning and pack the food for the hike. Overall I like it a lot.
But that day when we hike, I
remember it rain days ago before our trip that day. So the floor is kind of wet.
And the hike is kind of tough as usual, we need to across the stream, hike up
and down and between the huge rocks.
Then is the accident happens
to me, I slip and fall down on a rock and hit my head.
I feel dizzy and hurt the
group stop and check on me and I rest a little. There’s comfort, concern also
blame on me too, “why don’t you be careful, and why do you jump the rock”. I feel
a little sad about the blaming. And you won’t believe it; we go on and finish the
trip again.
Years later today, I have tinnitus
and I believe it’s the sequela from the head accident. I still feel lucky and
blessed about the accident. Because that a heavy hit to my head and I don’t
have the concussion or anything, I pray to the Lord for protect me and my love
ones always and heal our hurts whether it’s the physically or mentally.
