神藉著這一顆在人眼中微不足道的一顆蕃茄讓我學到了很多的事情。
Through this tomato, remind me again, how great
our creator is. God's amazing in any ways.
其實我原來種植的是甜椒，當我將把甜椒的種子埋入土裡後不久，有一天發現有一顆蕃茄因放了放了太久，快要壞爛掉，心想就把他它也埋了當作是甜椒的肥料吧！沒想到過了一陣子紅椒沒發芽，蕃茄倒發芽了。(其實，在一開始發芽到第一顆蕃茄剛長出來之前，我還一直以為長出來的是甜椒。這正如俗諺，有心栽花花不開，無心插柳柳成蔭）
At the beginning, what I planned to plant is
bell pepper. So why is this a story about a tomato instead? There was a day, a
tomato was getting rotten, and therefore, I thought why don't I save it as the
fertilizer for the bell pepper? It was sprouting, growing, blossoming,
fruiting, I thought it’s the fruit of the bell pepper until it grew bigger, that's when I realize that it's a tomato, not bell pepper.
看著這第一顆蕃茄，感到無比的興奮期待，巴不得這一顆蕃茄能快一點長大成熟，就好像自己的孩子出生成長一樣的喜悅，渴望與親友們分享。我儘力的照顧這些蕃茄樹，早晚各澆一次水；早上出門上班前及下午下班回家後。
Exiting and cannot wait for this first ripe tomato, just like my children, so I can share the joy with all my
friends. Try my best to take good care of the tomato tree, watering twice a day, one
the early morning and the other after work.
有一天下班後，因為兒子的學校有活動，去參加回來時已天色已晚，我心裡就想就休息一次不用澆水吧！
One day, attended an event of my son's school,
when we came home, it's already dark, and so, I decided to skip one watering.
第二天早上上班前如常去澆水卻發現那一顆蕃茄的皮皺掉了，心裡非常難過，但還是如常澆水後去上班，心想下班回來這個蕃茄應該就會回復原狀了。下班回來後第一時間趕緊去澆水並檢視我的寶貝蕃茄，這一顆蕃茄還是一樣皮皺皺的毫無生氣，心想難道我就這麼一次偷懶就造成這麼大的傷害，我非常的自責，心裡又想也許再經過一夜，明天早上這一顆蕃茄就會好的。
The second day when I did the routine watering
in the early morning, sadly to find that this tomato is all wrinkled. Still I
watered it and then went to work, I thought it should be OK afterward. After
work, I checked as soon as I got home, no changed. I blamed myself of laziness,
watered, and thought, it should be fine by tomorrow.
隔天，也是第三天ㄧ早，我迫不急待的去澆水並檢視這一顆蕃茄，我簡直無法相信和接受，這一顆蕃茄不但毫無改善而且看起來更加憔悴，澆了水後，心裡突然閃過一個念頭，詩歌，於是進屋裡拿出 iPad，開始選了這一首我曾經與大家分享過的詩歌，近前來，從頭到尾人非常認真對著的我的蕃茄樹唱完然後，心中一剎霎時覺得好輕鬆，拿著 iPad 回家準備上班，離開前輕輕的觸摸著蕃茄樹說，你要乖乖的聽主耶穌的話喔！
Next day, eagerly to water and check on it
again, a heartbroken scene, this tomato is worse than before, I have no other
choice but watered the tomato trees. All of the sudden, a song, come close, that I used to sharing with my senior
friends, came into my mind, quickly, I went to grab my iPad and sing the whole
song along with the YouTube video. Feeling released like never before, brought
the iPad home and said something to my tomato trees before I left, "be good and listen to God, OK", then getting ready to go to work.
下班後意外的發現這一顆蕃茄竟然恢復了原狀。
To my surprise, this tomato went back the original, smooth skin, after work.
以前總不了解，頂著大太陽蹲在花圃裡整理花草植物，有什麼樂趣。現在我終於明白了，看著所撒下的種子，發芽、開花、結果，是一個多麼大的享受和喜悅，享受拿大自然，享受神所創造的萬物。
Before I cannot understand how fun or what fun is that working in the garden under the hot sun. Now I finally understand, watch what you plant, sprouting, growing, blooming, fruiting, is the biggest Grace, the Grace of our God.
信靠神交托一切，定睛在神的身上而不是問題，耐心的等候。我們真的不能沒有神，常有藉口說，哎！我今天太累了、太忙了、心情不好，種種的理由和藉口，我今天就不讀經不禱告了，少一次禱告會怎麼樣吧！？分分秒秒我們需要神的話語、神的靈！
Trust in Lord, fix our eyes in Him, not the
problem, and wait patiently, for everything is in His hands. We need Him, every
single day, every single second. Often time, we have all sort of excuses,
oh, I’m too tired, too busy or too depressed to come to Lord's house or to
pray, just omit one time, won't do any harm. Oh, Lord your words and Holy
Spirit be with us all the time.
Matthew 馬太福音 6:25 - 34 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. 馬太福音 Matthew 14 門徒看到耶穌行五餅二魚的神跡。彼得的個信心大考驗。Feeding the Five Thousand. Jesus walks on the sea; Peter's faith be challenged .
28 彼得就對他説:“主啊，如果是你，就吩咐我從水上走到你那裏去吧。” 29 耶稣说:“來吧！”彼得登時下船，在水上行走，向着耶穌走去。 30 不料他看着暴風，害怕起來，就往下沉，於是喊叫説:“主啊，救我！” 31 耶穌馬上伸手抓住他，對他説:“你的信心太小了，為甚麽要懷疑呢？” 28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
約翰福音 John 20:29 耶穌說：“你因為看見我才信嗎？那些沒有看見就信的人，是有福的。”
Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Who is in charge of everything, who saved the life of a tomato? Is it me? The sun? The water? Our God, the creator!
