Oatmeal Whole Wheat Quick Bread


This is a 4 batches load of bread
Ingredients
     1 cup rolled oats
     1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
     1 1/2 tablespoons honey
     1 tablespoon vegetable oil
     1 cup milk

Directions
Preheat oven to 450 °F.

In a large bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, dissolve honey in vegetable oil then stir in the milk. Combine both mixtures and stir until a soft dough is formed. Place on a lightly oiled baking pan.

Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until bottom of loaf sounds hollow when tapped.




To make the French toast from this homemade bread. Simply, by slicing the bread then fully soak them in the egg mixture. You can also add cinnamon, sugar and milk, if you prefer.


Then either pan fry or bake the French toast, enjoy!
