The First AFL-NFL World Championship Game in
professional American football, known
retroactively as Super Bowl I and referred to in some contemporaneous
reports, including the game's radio broadcast, as the Super Bowl, was
played on January 15, 1967 at the Los Angeles Memorial
Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.
No
wonder this year’s super bowl, is called super bowl 50.
Lady
Gaga stunned as she sang the national anthem before the Denver Broncos and
Carolina Panthers squared off on Super Bowl Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa
Clara. The six-time Grammy Award winner donned a glittery red two-piece suite
to sing the Star Spangled Banner. Her Triumphant finish was the highlight of
her performance.
The
Denver Broncos won Carolina Panthers, the Super Bowl 50, 24-10 on Sunday behind their incredible
defense, especially the pass rush from linebackers Von Miller (who made two big
plays) and DeMarcus Ware.
Couples of church
families gather together this day to watch this game and since it’s the Chinese
New Year Eve, after the game, we have the hot pot together.
I’m not really a fan or
good at of any sports or knowing much about it, the rule, the teams and the
like. So, to me, it’s like once in 50 years event to watch this game. Besides
the game, the commercials, the opening and closing ceremony is the highlight
too. And most importantly, family and friends get together.
This host family is
always very generous, every time, when we have the gathering at their home,
always have a complete meals, from drinks, customized starters, entries,
homemade desserts (flans, ice cream, mocha for this time) and they
even top with a red envelope (lucky money) for the young, just like our
traditional Chinese New Year.
