important decision 10
A party, a
farewell party, yes, again, for the children’s Sunday school principal and
teachers.
That was more than 10 years ago, when we first came to this church, Daniel is the Sunday school teacher of my 2 year-old boy and then the second year, my son went on to the wife, Haley, who was very pregnant with their second child, teaching 3 year-old class. And I’m the kind of mother, who is the other way around, meaning, don’t want to leave my child, even it’s just a 3 hours Sunday school. I was following my son all the way through his young age Sunday school.
I went to
show my appreciations, but so upset at the same time, I tear up. Yes, I’m an
emotional person. And there’s a story behind it.
It was not
until 2 weeks ago, that I realized that the children ministry principal’s
family is going to leave the church among some other families. I never thought
that they’ll ever leave this church.That was more than 10 years ago, when we first came to this church, Daniel is the Sunday school teacher of my 2 year-old boy and then the second year, my son went on to the wife, Haley, who was very pregnant with their second child, teaching 3 year-old class. And I’m the kind of mother, who is the other way around, meaning, don’t want to leave my child, even it’s just a 3 hours Sunday school. I was following my son all the way through his young age Sunday school.
But at that
time, either Daniel or Haley, ever question me like, why are you staying, or asked
me to leave the classroom after drop my son off.
And believe
it or not, they are the ones that inspire me to be a Sunday school teacher.
So far, many
people leave the church, they may have different reason, different timing, go
to a different church, well, what can I say.

a piece of pancake
And I also triple check the ingredients, there is no baking soda or baking powder in it.
And, again, as lazy as I am, I didn't whisk the eggs long enough.
Therefore, the pancake, looks like, flat bread.
It tastes fine to me.

The other
day, I went with my older son to his friend from elementary school.
The day before, I had sore throat, plus, I’m always very sensitive to smells. And that day during the funeral rite, with hours of smell of lighting incense, I didn’t even have a cough.

morning, when I drove approaching the gas station to get gas, I saw the worker
was changing the price tags, in front my very eyes, from $2.47 ---> $2.65

You can easily beat the eggs nicely, within seconds, literally, no sweat, no spilling.

Like 1 t of sugar for 3 eggs, yeah, I have never enjoyed measuring.
Beat them altogether smoothly and divide into 3 equal portions into glass containers.
Then, the best part, steam them with either bamboo steamer, around 20-30 minutes.
It comes out real good, I even open the cover couples of times while steaming.
Or you can use stainless steel rice cooker, remember not the aluminum one.

This morning,
didn’t know why, I decided, rather exercised at home alone with my new bought
praise dance series 7 than drive to the park to do so with group.
Then my
older son, came in, and asked me for a ride to his friend’s funeral, who commits
suicide days ago.
I went
with him, actually, I do plan to go with him, as soon as I know this incident
happen, but I don’t want to ask him, I want him to ask me instead, but in this
case, I’m sort of go with him without ask him beforehand.
It’s either
a traditional Taoist or Buddhist funeral rite, around 2 hours or so long in total
including the burial.
Not much
people attend, no program, no greetings, real sad, he is only 20.

A full time English youth pastor is still needed, otherwise those people being pulled out and come to help will be burnt out soon.
Parents' support and help should be always there no matter what.
if you choose to stay, then do the right thing and keep praying.
It's not just show the support, also a good model, especially to our own kids.
let the kids know you care.
Knowing who and what are they hearing from and whom they learning together?
And one thing, crucial, do not be a helicopter parent.
The same concept applies to their school or whatever event or group, they participate, there's nothing is more important than others.

homemade french bread without yeast recipe
3 cups whole wheat
flour
4 t baking powder
1 1⁄2 cups rice milk or 1 1⁄2

Depending on the humidity of the air where you live you may need a little bit more or

Last week, I tried my tambourine first
time in the public. I thought that must be an easy job to do so and happy about
that I finally know some music instrument to show.
It turned out, not really what I expect. Not
as simple as I thought, you got to have you mouth, hands collaborate and knowing
well about when and how to corporate the tambourine into the music and singing.
And it’s kind of loud as my sons told me before, or I should said as they complain about.

Coloring book club for adults - 8
Finish another coloring page, this time on my own and using crayons instead of color pencils.
It’s easier and faster and save a lot of time and energy, but the color is so light and not much to do varying with; I think it could be the quality of my crayons.
What type drawing tool to pick is important, it also apply to the same kind of tools but different quality, the result will be completely unlike.

Coloring book club for adults - 7
I use a lot of blend in; I don't know should I call it technique. Not that I know a lot about drawing, it's kind of fun to do so, it makes the coloring looks totally different after blending color in, whether is using, different color or white color pencil or eraser to do so.
If only I can have totally, nothing in mind or nothing to do after, yes! Blank, I don't see that I can ever finish it nice and peace in mind.
Kind of dark coloring this time, I use a color called, deep raspberry for over an hour. No particular reason, just go with feeling.
Today, same thought come into my mind again; do I really want to do this coloring thing? It’s a conflict inside of me, don't want to continue but in the other hand, I tell myself to go on. To train myself, become a patient, creativity, a not so easily giving thing’s up or maybe just to have the exercise for my eyes and arm and fingers. I should continue, right?
Besides, I learn something every time and have some idea to write my blog, yes! Yes! Do it again!

Why do I watch with my kid? Well, my son asks for it, and no one warn me ahead, but I'm totally fine with it, besides, rated R, what do we expect?
I rather embarrassed, than knowing nothing about what he watched.
Something to chew over for this movie, do we sometimes, for some purposes, exchange our soul with evil. In this case, the main character, after fine out, he has terminal lung cancer.
There's love, comedy plots, great way of narrative, stunning computer animation, and sort of happy ending.
Nowadays, a ravishing computer animation is a must.
After the movie, pick up my older son, for he doesn't have a day off and 3 of us go have Lunner together at a wonderful local restaurant. Happy!

But I’m not 100% agree it though. Yes! Our lives are like canvas and after years past, it becomes a master piece. But our lives don’t just start as a blank canvas.
Psalm 139:13-16
13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
God has a special and unique plan and purpose for each of us, He knows you even before you were born.
But God do give us the freedom to choice to follow His will or not.
Just like the coloring book, there’s outline, simple or complicate, special or plain. When you get your coloring paper, you get to choose how to finish it, rush, slowing, carefully, absent-minded, planned, randomly, monotonous color, creativity colorful one or just leaves it blank and the like.
Same as our life, how will you live you lives and live the best of you, for yourself, for others, for the communities, the nation, the globe. Who do not want a blessed life? Or become blessing of others? How we can accomplish the plan that God put into our precious lives.

Sometimes,
I’ll say, if I were a baby, no reasonability or anything to worry about, how
nice that will be.
Ever
image that if you were a baby, and you don’t know how to talk but cry, whenever
there’s something to express. Then that’s not really a fun thing anymore.
Recall
that when my kids were babies, often time when they cried, you try hard to find
out what happen, hungry, tired, dirty diaper, sick or any situation that you
can think and take care of it of but they still cry. They must be desperate to let you know
something’s going on that make him uncomfortable and frustrate about that no one
understand him at the mean time.
I
do have no clue to know others’ thinking or feeling unless you are in their
shoes, in most of the case, true!

Couples of church
families gather together this day to watch this game and since it’s the Chinese
New Year Eve, after the game, we have the hot pot together.
I’m not really a fan or
good at of any sports or knowing much about it, the rule, the teams and the
like. So, to me, it’s like once in 50 years event to watch this game. Besides
the game, the commercials, the opening and closing ceremony is the highlight
too. And most importantly, family and friends get together.
This host family is
always very generous, every time, when we have the gathering at their home,
always have a complete meals, from drinks, customized starters, entries,
homemade desserts (flans, ice cream, mocha for this time) and they
even top with a red envelope (lucky money) for the young, just like our
traditional Chinese New Year.

We all think the best, to get rid of the cancer

hyperthermic chemotherapy and so on. Before all the bad cells gone, all the
good ones gone too, the energy, the normal body and organ functions all gone.
What about the living quality? One year and
half horrible and painful life or one year of happy and fair quality life?

God restores dried bones to life.
No created power could restore human bones to life. God alone could cause them to live. Skin and flesh covered them, and the wind was then told to blow upon these bodies; and they were restored to life. The wind was an emblem of the Spirit of God, and represented his quickening powers. Let us look to Him who will at last open our graves, and bring us forth to judgment, that He may now deliver us from sin, and put his Spirit within us, and keep us by his power, through faith, unto salvation.
上帝使枯乾的靈復甦。
沒有任何能力可將枯乾的骨還原為生。唯有上帝有賜重生的大能。長出肉和皮，命令和風吹向他們; 枯乾的骨被恢復生命。風象徵著神的靈，代表復甦的能力。這個異像，激勵被擄的猶太人; 預言他們被擄後的恢復，和長期離散的復興。預表復活; 向在絕望中悔改的罪人，顯現上帝的恩典和大能。讓我們仰望神來審視我們的過犯，拯救我們脫離罪惡，讓聖靈入住我們的心，賜與我們能力，靠著信心，以至得救。
Ezekiel 以 西 結 書 37:1-14
1
The
hand of the Lord was upon me, and
carried me out in the Spirit of theLord and set me down in the
midst of the valley which was full of bones,
2 and caused me to pass
by them round about; and behold, there were very many in the open valley, and
lo, they were very dry.
3 And He said unto me,
“Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, Thou knowest.”
4 Again He said unto me,
“Prophesy upon these bones and say unto them, ‘O ye dry bones, hear the word of
the Lord.
5 Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones:
Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.
6 And I will lay sinews
upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put
breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.’”
7 So I prophesied as I
was commanded; and as I prophesied,there was a noise, and behold, a shaking,
and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
8 And when I beheld, lo,
the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above;
but there was no breath in them.
9 Then said He unto me,
“Prophesy unto the wind. Prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, ‘Thus saith
the Lord God: Come from the four
winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.’”
10 So I prophesied as He
commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood up upon
their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Then He said unto me,
“Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our
bones are dried and our hope is lost. We are cut off from our parts.’
12 Therefore prophesy and
say unto them, ‘Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, O My people,
I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring
you into the land of Israel.
13 And ye shall know that
I am the Lord when I have opened your
graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14 and shall put My Spirit
in you and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land. Then shall ye
know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and
performed it, saith the Lord.’”
1耶 和 華 的 靈 （ 原 文 是 手 ） 降 在 我 身 上 。 耶 和 華 藉 他 的 靈 帶 我 出 去 ， 將 我 放 在 平 原 中 ； 這 平 原 遍 滿 骸 骨 。
2 他 使 我 從 骸 骨 的 四 圍 經 過 ， 誰 知 在 平 原 的 骸 骨 甚 多 ， 而 且 極 其 枯 乾 。
3 他 對 我 說 ： 人 子 啊 ， 這 些 骸 骨 能 復 活 麼 ？ 我 說 ： 主 耶 和 華 啊 ， 你 是 知 道 的 。
4 他 又 對 我 說 ： 你 向 這 些 骸 骨 發 預 言 說 ： 枯 乾 的 骸 骨 啊 ， 要 聽 耶 和 華 的 話 。
5 主 耶 和 華 對 這 些 骸 骨 如 此 說 ： 我 必 使 氣 息 進 入 你 們 裡 面 ， 你 們 就 要 活 了 。
6 我 必 給 你 們 加 上 筋 ， 使 你 們 長 肉 ， 又 將 皮 遮 蔽 你 們 ， 使 氣 息 進 入 你 們 裡 面 ， 你 們 就 要 活 了 ； 你 們 便 知 道 我 是 耶 和 華 。
7 於 是 ， 我 遵 命 說 預 言 。 正 說 預 言 的 時 候 ， 不 料 ， 有 響 聲 ， 有 地 震 ； 骨 與 骨 互 相 聯 絡 。
8 我 觀 看 ， 見 骸 骨 上 有 筋 ， 也 長 了 肉 ， 又 有 皮 遮 蔽 其 上 ， 只 是 還 沒 有 氣 息 。
9 主 對 我 說 ： 人 子 啊 ， 你 要 發 預 言 ， 向 風 發 預 言 ， 說 主 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 氣 息 啊 ， 要 從 四 方 （ 原 文 是 風 ） 而 來 ， 吹 在 這 些 被 殺 的 人 身 上 ， 使 他 們 活 了 。
10 於 是 我 遵 命 說 預 言 ， 氣 息 就 進 入 骸 骨 ， 骸 骨 便 活 了 ， 並 且 站 起 來 ， 成 為 極 大 的 軍 隊 。
11 主 對 我 說 ： 人 子 啊 ， 這 些 骸 骨 就 是 以 色 列 全 家 。 他 們 說 ： 我 們 的 骨 頭 枯 乾 了 ， 我 們 的 指 望 失 去 了 ， 我 們 滅 絕 淨 盡 了 。
12 所 以 你 要 發 預 言 對 他 們 說 ， 主 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 我 的 民 哪 ， 我 必 開 你 們 的 墳 墓 ， 使 你 們 從 墳 墓 中 出 來 ， 領 你 們 進 入 以 色 列 地 。
13 我 的 民 哪 ， 我 開 你 們 的 墳 墓 ， 使 你 們 從 墳 墓 中 出 來 ， 你 們 就 知 道 我 是 耶 和 華 。
14 我 必 將 我 的 靈 放 在 你 們 裡 面 ， 你 們 就 要 活 了 。 我 將 你 們 安 置 在 本 地 ， 你 們 就 知 道 我 ─ 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ， 也 如 此 成 就 了 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。
