The past year, I have been receiving tons of gifts from friends.
It can be as small as a candy or cookie, but what matter is, the love, caring, appreciation and being recognized even it just a "thank you or warm greeting".

People
Sometime in December, talked to a senior friend and found that she enjoys reading People magazine. She always walks to a nearby bookstore to read it.
11/29/2018 redeemed my recycling bank account for one year subscription of People magazine.
12/29/2018 received the first issue of the magazine.
12/30/2018 finished reading my first issue, though, I didn't really appreciate it. But thought about I could have something to share with my friend or maybe cheer her up a bit, it's worthy already.
And my English will improve via reading it, it's a win-win situation.

Maybe it's a mission impossible, it may or may not come true, at least, I have a thought about it, we will see.

Finally, I remembered bringing my bible and sheet music to my visiting of my dear senior friends at rehabilitation center the first time.
I am half way of it, for this time I didn't get the chance to flip open the bible and read to them.

As, I, consider myself, a good listener.
At times, I tried to encourage or praise whom I listened to.
I am truly hoping that the words from my mouth really have some good impact for their lives.
And what surprises me, is, that, when in times of my own down times, complaining others, worrisome, anger, fears or any other negative emotion feelings.
My own words came back and reminded myself that how positively that I talked others into it.

Yesterday there was a hurt on my right armpit and shoulder, it went on and off, and then we had to do some shopping and had luner (lunch + dinner).
When we got home my pain got worse and it wouldn't go away, I thought about this song again and prayed really hard for myself and my younger son who went out with his friend and her family to observe the Christmas Light in Riverside.
Praying for their safety and enjoyment, and, another song came into my mind.

Just did a huge clean up for the contacts in my email, finally.

Sweet, Salty, Spicy Party Nuts
Has been trying something new lately, they are good.
Mushrooms, stems off, stuffed with pre-cooked garlic, leek and salt.
And then bake it until the mushrooms are cooked.
Sweet, Salty, Spicy Party Nuts. I baked peanuts, walnuts, pecans and almonds, spiced with cumin, paprika, sugar and salt.
Cranberry cakes.
Homemade chocolate popcorn.

sickness vs patient
Sad to say that in almost all the cases that both of the healthcare system and the doctors are treating the sickness not the people.
They will try everything, every way to resuscitate, prolong the patient's life. Even, the patient may need to lose a limb, eyesight, hearing, or in some cases the patient won't be to feed themselves in the natural way, or breath on their own etc.
Which is nothing very wrong with it.
But if someone has to live the rest of their lives, relying on others' help, on Intensive Care Unit Equipment, like breathing machine, nasogastric tube, urinary catheter, or feces catheter and so on.
Or lose the function of talking, seeing, hearing, thinking, walking and the like.
They are fed, cleaned and cared.
I mean what about the patients' own will, dignity, or quality of their lives.
It is a suffering to see someone, especially, your love one to kind of alive like so.

trauma
Recalling back my life, there were lots of pain and hurts, most of them, I just simply keep them to myself, the people that harm me may or may not know it.
For I cannot say, won’t say, don't want to say, afraid to say, ashamed to say them out loud.
I don't have Post traumatic stress disorder that is not merely luck.

and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
I may not be a prophet of the nation, but I know He has a plan for me.
God is my friend, Father, protester, comforter, stronghold, power, healer, savior, counselor and everything that I need.

At work, a lot of time, I have to walk or run from place to place, depending upon the urgency.
It's like I get paid to exercise, cool.

B: I Enjoying gardening, and I can still tough and smell them, also for a friend like you can enjoy them.

At work, if there's a coworker take vacation and I have to cover his or her part as much as I can take within my working hour, it's additional works add upon my own duties.
In the beginning, I am kind of complaining inside my heart and sometimes feel frustrated about extra business.
But in the end, I do enjoy it.
I learned new stuff, I get closer relationships with the elderly, listening to their amazing life stories, see their happy faces while I pay more attentions to them and more.

Mom: You two should buy new shoes.

Mom: But your shoe sole is all smoothed and your shoe has a hole.
Both of them: Nah, don't need it.
Mom: Okay!
Days after, one raining day, my older one came home and said to me, "I think this Saturday we should go buy new shoe, I almost slipped today". "Told you", said I.
Then I turned to my younger one. How about you, need to buy a new shoe too? "I guess so", said he.

In the dark
Sometimes I go to restroom, brush teeth, change clothes, eat and etc. in the dark purposely.
Of course, this will save me some money and the light won't break easily.
Mostly, I want to feel what they feel, people who cannot see, especially who were not born blind.
Once in a while, I see people walking alone in the public with a blind walking stick, I have the urge to run to them and walk with them.
But I never, first of all, I don't want to scare them and also I found that they seem amazingly confident.
Of course, this will save me some money and the light won't break easily.

Apparently, I have a smart brain!?
Friday night, I don't feel any tired when it's my regular sleeping time.
Saturday and Sunday morning, I don't even need an alarm clock to wait me up in the early morning.
