This is somewhat hard to share or I shouldn’t still constantly keep this negative thought in mind. Thereby, I need bunch of supporting prayers.

 

I know it from different position, same thing; you may have different of explanations or rules.

 

For example, parents vs. kids, employer vs. employees, ruler vs. regular person and so forth.

 

Or maybe, sometimes I do talk too much. But a lot of times, that’s a necessary job to be done, right?

 

Money is not everything but without money you cannot do anything. That’s sort of sad.

I almost want to cry out today when I am at the local library. I’ve never frustrated like this before. Yes! I do need to big favor, please pray for me. Oh! Lord, please help me out, I know I must have done something not quite right, my patient and temper and judgments. And yes I need introspection.

Earlier when I start to use the computer, the lady sit next to me has a very strong smell of some kind of expensive perfume; I do appreciate people who are taking good care of themselves, but not the whole lot of perfumes at the same time. Therefore, I have no choice to chance another seat.

I resume all the works that I’ve been doing over the other computer, and trying to listen to some hymns while I am browsing and doing something else, I don’t want to waste those precious times. I do use the earphone, but can hardly hear from it when I use the same volume selection, before. Thereby, I try to adjust the volume up until I can clear hear it. And I don’t even know that other people can hear my music loudly until the librarian come to warn me. And yes again, I am grumbling inside of my heart, but it’s not fault, I really don’t know what happen and that is because something wrong with the audio setting with that particular computer that I’m using. So I try to check the settings for the audio, I do some changes then I can hear it and then I try to do more alter of the settings with my own knowledge of it and then I cannot hear anything at all, I do try to set everything to the default settings, still it’s not working. So I decide, probably I shouldn’t listen the music at the least. Then I start the check my yahoo mail and need to reply an email form my client. Guess what? It never happen to me before, the yahoo mail has some problem; I try several times before I give up that particular computer, thinking maybe it’s this computer’s problem.

Oh! Yeah! I change another computer to try it on. Once again, I try to listen to the music like before, and the audio is NOT WORKING. And there is a word file that I remember clearly that I’ve been upload to one of my blog, IS NOT THERE! My heart starting to mutter repeatedly, I know, I still don’t learn lesson yet. Stop complaining and judgment and pretend I know everything. And suddenly the idea of it’s the yahoo mail’s problem.

Finally, yes! I do pray for forgiveness and calm myself down. Boy! What a day and experience I have here.

Actually this type of episodes happen to me many times before, I mean, the not quite pleasant occurrences, I need to remember and try to not to do this to myself again, the complaining and everything. That’s learning, a tough learning.

The other day my boys literally cook the dinner. I feeling so blessed. Although they don’t do it Spontaneously, I kind of ask them to. But still they are willing to do it.

We have stir fry vegetables and bake ribs. They are just right. Yummy! Yummy!

Lately I’ve thinking to try out some beer recipe. Thereby, I go to the supermarket to shopping for a can of beer.

But I’m not a drinker for found of it at all. I wondering around and looking at whole punch of different brand of beers. I am overwhelmed by that huge section of beers and really don’t know which kind that I should have.

At the moment one beer buyer, a guy, without surprise, tell the brand I’m viewing is a good choice. But I still cannot make up my mind, then a second guy beer buyer; politely asking me, cannot make up your mind, right?

Through this experience of buying beer, I also learn the benevolence of the beer drinker. This is an interesting experience for me.

For now that I have the beer. And I have to find time search for the beer recipe(s) sooner.

Brownie, tomato eggs, onion eggs, those are the food that I’m so enjoy lately. They are all homemade by my kids. Yum! Yum!

Although the brownie, they use the ready to use brownie powders but with all the love and anticipation, it makes them a lot fonder.

Also for the brownie, they accidentally set the temperature too high at the first, 375°F instead of 325°F as the manual says. Surprisingly that makes the brownie, crispy outside and moist inside.

I just cannot wait to go home and eat more. Oh! Yes! Not too much!

Months ago at Sunday worship, a lady sit next to me, she write this bible verse on the weekly bulletin, and give it to me. She tells me it is the bible verse that she memorizes and every time, before leave the house and start the car, she always recites it. She asks me to memorize it too. She is a pastor's wife. But later I lost that paper; I am so upset about it. Until today when I try to listen this song and instantly, this bible verse come back to me.

the ALS Ice Bucket challenge

The ALS ice bucket challenge, originally, it is to whom has to take the challenge in 24 hours, to dump a bucket of ice onto him/herself or donate $100 to whichever charity that he/she want the donation to go to. Then it come to one of the challenger, is suffering from ALS. That is when ALS brought into attention. And become the leading role.

What is ALS?

I totally agree with the charity thing, but if it comes into like a trend for showing up, then it’s another issue.

I really concern about the safety of dumping a bucket onto anyone. There’s some risk to do that. Also about the water restrictions for some places, this really worsens the situation.

There are more than 10 different instruments, sometimes they play together and there’s time one of the player do the solo. But you got to work together with each other and follow the leader, the conductor. Working together makes it sound harmony, exciting sometimes.

WATERMELON

After I finish visiting a customer then I go grocery shopping to a store near by, so I walk to the store instead of driving. And found there’s a big discount for watermelon therefore I decide to buy one for tomorrow’s potluck and I feel regret about walking to this store.

As I walk back to the car, it’s 3 or 4 blocks away. When I’m waiting on the traffic to turn into green, my memory goes back to the time when I was a pregnant with baby. That was around 20 pounds additional weight onto me, just like carrying a big watermelon with me and at the very moment, a mother-to-be pass right in front of me. I’m smiling and admiring at that glowing mom.

And when I reach the car, I feel my whole body is souring and aching by holding the watermelon and walking. Boy! That is only couple minutes. Cannot image how do me or other moms bear that for almost 9 months.

Salute to all the moms and their caring relatives and friends who take good care of them at all time.

book review - The Owner's Manual for the Brain

The Owner's Manual for the Brain, it’s a tough book for me to read, there are a lot of medical terms, some of the words I know from I learned biology at school but in Chinese though. I have to look them up on the dictionary quite a great deal, and they are hard to memorize too. Over all, it’s a useful book to know about the brain more.

One born with a useful and complex tool, here is the owner’s manual for how to cherish and improve the best of it. It’s a must read yet a think book to me.

A great book to knowing your own brain, the brain structures are different between men and women, the brain for different age group. Humans’ brain development from embryo to newborn to infant to toddlers to young kids to adolescent to adult to the golden age, how and why is different age stage, the way we act or think differently.

Some of the saying, I’m 100% agree and always thought that way. Something about the mental disorder, no matter is depression or dipolar or so forth, medicine and talk therapy are equally crucial or I should say talk therapy is more important then the medicine.

“Use it or lose it”, yes! Medicine is only for urgent rescue, how to train your brain and behavior to back to the normal status is the cure. Medicine, help you to block or eliminate or induce the hormone/chemical that you have too much or too little. But if you rely on the medicine or surgery (in some cases) then its like, “you don’t use it; you lose it for sure and forever”. It how sadly to see some of the patients’ relatives or friends give up on helping them.

For aging is the only thing is so fair and so unmerciful for everyone. But one thing is that you cannot deny it, you can live longer, healthier, happier and sometimes more helpful for the community that you are in. would you rather be like this kind of aging. Read the book and do what the best you can do.

Some useful suggestions for the golden age people, I totally consent and I’ll recommend to the people for all ages.

This book is divided into 7 parts and 36 chapters in total, over 1000 pages long. I’m just at the beginning still has a long way to go. From the basic knowledge of our brain to the very details, I desire to finish the book as quick as I can. Also I love the ending chapter, “closing with a prayer”.

This is what I quote from part of the summary,” Drawing from the frontiers of psychology, neurobiology, and cognitive science, yet organized and written for maximum usability.”

I know that I probably said the similar subject before. I want say it again because I really enjoy the time with kids whenever they free from the internet or TV. We can do the real talking face to face or just simply walk together. Even by watching them two talking to each other, I truly appreciate those particular moments.

Sometimes just sit back and relax, dine out then shopping or just window shopping with them. Try to seize that instant as much as I can.

4). I do believe that God talk to people in a physical way. That is one of the evidence.

never before

This is an active week, the work, kids getting ready to go back to school, 3 community services, and my sickness. (I skip one due to the time conflict.)

This the first time that the cold, ear infection, menstrual, hit me all at the same time and hot weather makes it complicated. Indoor is cool air conditioners, offices and stores. Outdoor is boiling hot. But I have to wear jacket, sometimes scarf too. It looks weird but what can I say.

Also the first time to lead worship with live piano play, it is surely tough, especially to whom without any strong music background, like me. For the past I always rely on the YouTube video, easier, you just follow it and with some sharing in between.

baptism

Praise the Lord; we have one of the senior baptized today.

She said yes for receiving the Lord’s grace last week, but because Pastor was not there. That’s why we have her baptized this week instead.

At the beginning of the worship gathering, we greet her as usual. She seems not willing to and don’t want to be bothered.

So we continue our worship with hymns, sharing, praying and simple exercise with them. When it’s time to leave, we have conversation with her again, still we mention about the baptizing. To our surprised, she yes with it, and her gestures brighten up at once. That is really amazing grace from the Lord.

As we lead her for prayer and talk about the gospel a little more before the baptism. You can tell her mind is so clear, she smiles, and talks to us, though it’s just simple chatting. Her grin and everything lighten up like never before.

Oh! Lord! Thanks for showing your astounding work, May the Lord and holly spirit do the work go and on and on until all the people can know You and receive the blessings forevermore.

Manna Hamadeh a musician from Lebanon, he plays it at Brague airport 布拉格（捷克首都). After 12 days of traveling in Europe without playing the piano, once he sees the piano, he just can wait to play it. The piano is not even a grand piano or a fancy one or the acoustics is not perfect enough for performing. One familiar classic piece, his own style, his own version, full of enthusiasm and confidence, it is a handsome presentation.

Do you have the same passion about our Lord, like you cannot skip one worship or daily devotion or weekly fellowship meeting? When you travel outside of your hometown, do you still attend a local church service or have the daily devotion with your companion(s)?

Do you have a well preparation for one or more impromptu sharing for any situation at any opportunity, long or short? Will you be able to use the same sharing but different way of rendition to do it? Will you willing to speak up for your believe in front of whole crowd of non-acquaintance or strangers? Or do you have a familiar bible verse or a touching hymn handy to share with at any time?

I heard robin Williams' death the yesterday when I was on my way home from work on the radio. It is a big lost of the human beings. Yes! He makes me laugh and makes me cry too. I’m speechless at this point.

Depression in a big issue nowadays, close friends, families, and religious are crucial to everyone, especially those are in need.

book review - all joy and no fun

Often time, books always write about how the parenting, parents’ teaching will affect our kids. This is the book that says about how our lives, as parents, are influenced by our kids. All joy and no fun says everything.

In this book, it has a lot of real life cases, and it did happen to either yourself or the people around you. Study them from all different kind of views, physically, psychologically, socially, philosophy and so on.

How do the parents treat their kids? Who is in charge, you or the kids?

Boy Scout or other religious institution plays a role on childhood.

How the history affect the parenting, revolution, modernization, immigrants.

Different races, cultures, ages, combination family, whether it’s a single parent, fostering family or grandparent raise grandkids, it’ll make a tremendous effect on both sides.

Keep that in mind, your kid(s) into this challenge world, not the other way around. So we do have the responsibility on raising them right. Don’t ever compare with any others, just do our best. And never raise your kids alone, especially you are a single parent. Get as many as supporting as you can, whether it’s from the society, social network and so forth.

Raising children is tough job, in a lot of cases, thankless, and yet the most rapturous experience available to adults.

And those kinds of books, I should suggest to not just the parents now or future, even the kids should read it for their parents or themselves.

In the end I’ll say, I feel sorry for someone, if you choose not have a parenthood experience, whether you just do want to have that experience or you chose to absence from the family picture.

Besides marriage, adolescent taken the most pages of this book, I can see teens are the biggest challenge of parenthood. "Parents struggle through their children’s teenage years both because of their changed relationship with their children and because of their changed relationship to themselves."

In this it mentions about Leviticus but I don’t remember why?
The best part of parenthood, joy, it opens our eyes to different fields, broaden our vision.

Joy is not at the present time, when you remembering, recall them back.

Have you ever had some kinds of experiences about your dreams? It’s like sometimes, things do happen after your had the dreams. But when you have that dreams, you don’t know what is that particular dream stands for?

Like months ago, I used to dream about the earthquakes and the wars, the aircrafts fall down from sky, loss of my handbag.

Is that real that the dreams always predict something for the future? How do I know those are just my own fears or random thinking?

Do people always dream, the different are some people, they don’t even get to remember that they do have some dreams during their sleeping?

I do know people, they claim that they always have sound sleeps and never have any dreams ever.

two different world

There is a world where when one is sick, that’s say a simple cold. At there people always concern about you, always welcome you with a big smile, ask if they can help on anything, give you some suggestions on it, provide their own secrets of remedy, pray for you, they even buy some expensive Chinese medicine for you, or just pop up with a whole pot of hot, delicious chick soup just for you. There are no any words can describe about the emotion about it.

On the contrary, the other world, I’m sure that I don’t even want to say anything about it. It’s beyond anyone’s imagination.

My Bronchial is weak since years ago and deviation of nasal septum (鼻中隔彎曲), for this I don’t was I born with it or did I hurt myself when I was little?

So whenever I have a simple cold, I will suffer with severe coughs and stuffy noise.

This is a touching and humorous movie. It is filmed at Salmon River Idaho. And is Split Creek Bridge, the bridge that show at the end of the movie?

All the breathtaking scenery and adventures is worthy to watch.

All should learn to put the past behind and pull together at a new horizontal, you will rediscover a friendship strong enough to heal old wounds and renewed hope. And what the meaning of put the past behind is not mean to forget about it, or don’t think about it, or ignore it. One should resolve it, especially for the sad past, talk it out, write it out, draw, sing, or even just cry out, otherwise you will never get to go down to the next step of your life. The past that you don’t want to remember, they will keep coming back to your life and eat you up, just like that. Like one of the character, Skinner in the movie.

Three other main characters in this movie, Kramer is happily married, but he and his wife are fright to learn that their young daughter has a crippling and potentially fatal illness. Even so his wife encourages him to go to this special friend’s reunion. Stan has a tight relationships with his wife and unable to relate with his teenage son. And Mikey is a success lawyer, but hasn't been as lucky in love, and he isn't certain the future with his longtime girlfriend. Actually there is a fifth character, he die 13 years ago at their rafting camp as a camp rafting guide as the rest of four young guys, that’s how they met and become best friends since. That’s how Sinner takes his death as his responsible and wouldn’t let go of the thoughts until this reunion.

Same place, different time, it is totally different story. Even the river is the same, but he water that runs through is completely not the same anymore. Size the present time and do what you do before everything changed and regretting is the only thing one can do.

Muchas agua is a lot of water in Spanish. That’s the only Spanish in this movie, and I understand it. Hip hip hooray!

Go rafting, camp out and fishing is something that always hovering in my mind that I want to fulfill, especially with the kids. We will see.
