“Another
Perfect Stranger”, is a movie that plays on the TV almost a year ago. I didn’t
get to watch the whole thing but it gives me a lot of thinking. And yesterday I
get to watch it again on the TV. So I revised this blog a little.
In this
movie, it shows the meet with God Anthropomorphic.
The
story is about a very angry and confused girl. She goes on a trip to the place
that she is hoping her application of an art school will accept her, after 3
months of applying. One dinner night before, after she has a conversation with
her parents and her mom shares her personal experience, encounter with Jesus in
person ten years ago, her relationship with her parents suddenly changed. And
she takes this school tour trip, a chance for her to get away from her parents.
And
during her trip by plane, she accidently has someone who sits next to her
twice. She feels so amazed and she talks to that perfect stranger. She asks a
lot of questions about this guy. Questions like, why are you going to that
place, what do you do …etc. She is very curious about him, even when he’s
writing something. She asks him what he is writing about. He tells her, it is a
poem written by God, HIS FATHER. HE EVEN SHOWS HES NAIL MARKS TO HER. HIS job
is as a counselor. She also talks about her problems that she’s been through, with
friends, her mother and the reason she cannot not believe in GOD.
The story
really interests me. From the story, it seems not real to encounter with, GOD,
I mean physically. But it is so real that sometimes you can just encounter with
same people couple of times IN SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. Or encounter with
different people at different time, but they all give you the same messages. Or
you sometimes seem hear something. Or you feel that you have to do something.
Or you have urge desire to say something to someone or call them. Or when you
are in trouble someone at the right moment offer you for help. I think that’s
GOD. They all in different forms just like angels to me.
People
sometimes ignore those messages from GOD. They don’t believe it. They are afraid
of it. They don’t even have time to think about it. It is a tough judgment, how
to judge if it’s really coming from HIM, or it just our imagination, or is it
from the evil spirit?
God is
waving His hands to us; invite us to know Him personally. He gives us the
privilege to make our own decision to accept Him or not. He is the only one
understand and knowing every single detail about our life. Let go and let God.
Sometimes
painful experiences are just too hard to let it go or even talk them out. Jesus
is the only way to let things go away. Faith is something, sometimes very tough
to explain. How to approach a people about faith is a challenge most of time.
Believe
in God, the faith is different from religion. Like are you a fan or a follower?
God is
not slow but patient, He gives the time to everyone, so no one will be let
behind.
In the
near end of the movie, the guy that the girl accidently meet for twice in a row
,shake hands and say goodbye that’s the time he shows his pierced wound on His
hand to her purposely, that truly touches me and make me cry.
