Can you tell what those are? They are lemons from my backyard. And
yes! Both of them are from the same tree. Why the one on the right is so
different looks from the other one?
Days ago, when I try to pick some lemons for myself and some for
friends, I spot this lemon, the distortion one, being crushed by two strong
branches from both side, left and right. I immediately rescue it, cut both
branches. I feel so sorry for it, it cannot
talk otherwise, you’ll probably hear it say, “Ouch! Ouch! Help me! Help
me!” I’m amazed at the same time about this particular one, still try hard
to grow and have the functions as a regular lemon.
I thought about same situation on human beings. There are people
either physically / mentally born with dysfunction or disabled due to sickness
or accident or by others’ who purposefully hurt them. Some may decide stop their lives
naturally or intentionally. Some grow up but with either physically or mentally
crooked. Amongst those, some choice to live miserably or even hurting others
without knowing it, others decide to end the wretched and start
to help others the like. I've read the book, “one more step”. And others’ testimonies,
so touching and happen in the reality.
Truly, we do have the choice about our own lives. Either you want
to live 24 hours miserable or joyful and helpful to others. But is that easy to
love a person? The answer is yes and no, depends on the situations.
雲彩行動 silver lining foundation, a nonprofit organization, their motto, “以生命改變生命” “Our love can change their lives."
永生 (Yǒngshēng), he
used to live a happy and regular life until, when he was 6 years old, his four
limbs and face are seriously burned by fire, all out of shapes and was
abandoned at roadside and fortunately been rescued by a stranger and raised by
an orphanage sponsored by silver lining foundation. At the beginning, his heart
was full of bitterness, anger, questions, shame, fears and all those negative
thoughts that you can name it. He changed, because he knows no matter
what he is loved with God and God's people. When he is capable, he starts
to give his love back to those children who are in deep needs.
昌褀 (Chāng jì), a
girl was born with handicapped. She gets help from this same nonprofit
organization, work hard to learn skills and get a serious job. Appreciate
the helping from them; the happiest time to her is when she gets pay so she can
treat her young friends in need for nice meals. And her future wish is, work
hard, save as much money as she could and then open her own orphanage.
Here’s song that I want to share, is sung by those beautiful young
hearts. All the members are from this organization, including the instrument
players.
原來你是這樣愛我 I know I am loved by God
We see Love & forgiveness & redemption & plea. We ca cry out for our Abba Father whenever, wherever and for whatever matters that we
need. We are lucky with this privilege.
Around 12 years ago I was in big trouble; I lost my job, that’s
the sole income for my family too. My kids are only one and seven years old.
And my company was applying the green card for me at that time, all of the
sudden, I became an illegal immigrant. My Marriage also officially terminated
at that time. I felt like there’s no way out of it. My big question at
that point is not, whether I should or should not continue stay here in U.S.A. , but should I or should not still stay
in this world. It feels I was abandoned by the world. But
Lord never forget about me, He reminds me it’s time to come back to Him, at
that point I've away from church and Lord for some years. He
told me, let’s hold hands together, face and solve the problems one by one.
