homemade granola

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil / butter (i'll cut in half)
  • 1/2 cup small-dice dried fruit
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped raw nuts or seeds
First Mix all the dry ingredients including nuts well, except dried fruits and chocolate chips, then add the liquid ingredients, mix real smooth, spread them evenly on the baking sheet at 300°F bake for 15 minutes.

Then add the dried fruit to the baking sheet and toss to combine bake another 5 minutes or so.

Eat them when it's still warm without milk, it tastes really good. Toss in some chocolate chips if you like when eat with milk. Both ways are so good, good thing is that I make two batches this time.

I'll try different nuts and dried fruit and use liquid oil instead of butter next time. And skip the sugar at the same time. And a tiny bit more cinnamon into them.
