book review - blue mind

Finally, I finish reading this book.
This is what I quote from the author’s website:
http://www.wallacejnichols.org/122/bluemind.html
“Each year we hold a Blue Mind Summit, bringing together top neuroscientists, oceanographers, explorers, economists, psychologists, educators, and artists to consider new questions about the "human brain on water".”

(Somehow this book’s concept is related to the book that I still 1/3 of way of reading it, The Owner's Manual for the Brain.
And I’m just at the very beginning of the book, blue mind. I better speed up my reading.)

The relationship between Homo sapiens and water, especially the oceans, is not completely a secret, but some experiments are going now.

The author, a scientist, himself wear the ECG to the oceans for the experiment and record down the result of how the oceans affect on him.

Our body is composed of 70% of water, and the brain, around 3 pounds is composed over 80% of water.

We all want to be rejuvenated in any way when you reach some point of age. Or at least keep the same conditions inside and out of our body, mentally and physically.

And according to the expert, our brain is the most likely plasticity, and the negative ions from the running spring or oceans are the big helpers.

The natural, like the ocean and so forth, also the activities that you can enjoy with it, or even you just staring at it and do nothing; they all can benefit you in a different ways, the relaxation and refreshing.

In this book, it also emphasize on the environmental protection and environmental pollution. How we can help in what efficiency way to get humans attention and help. The earth is not just for now or another 10, 20 years, its years after years and generations after generations.
