beeswax

So many interesting facts and benefits from beeswax, and its 1/3 of the ingredients of my handmade lotion bar, besides 1/3 of olive oil and 1/3 of coconut oil.
Read through the whole article then you'll find, most of the suggestion usages for the skin are mix beeswax with honey and olive oil.

I actually use the lotion bar on myself and my son's skin, the result comes out really good, we are joking about, we should took before and after pictures of it to show how the skin transform. Well, too late, it's been healed.

My young son suffer from skin problems since he was little, I took him to the doctor and had some prescribed ointments applied on his skin, right away the symptoms gone but once I stop this ointment thing, the rash or whatever it is came right back. This scared me, wait a minute, didn't we all want something effective or some kind of magic on curing? Sure!  However in this case, that also mean, you have rely on this ointment forever or there must be some horrible side effects along with it. So, I made the decision for him and stop using it or any other way until now.

I also recalled a fun memory about this rash thing of my son, when he was one month old , grandparent, parents, uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews, nieces come to congrats me for my new born, then when my untie try to hold the baby, she look at me puzzled and said, I wonder how do you raise your baby, how come your baby's skin is bumpy not smooth?

You must not blame me to wait this long to find a nature way to solve his skin issue. However, I prefer use it as external usage, like skin or hair than oral. And not sure some of benefits, like, lower cholesterol. To tell you the true, I don't know anything about the beeswax's specialty till I use this lotion bar for my son's and see the outcomes and then start to search through the web for it. I only think that it's all nature at the first and the last place.

Beeswax is a product made from the honeycomb of the honeybee and other bees. The three major beeswax products are yellow beeswax, white beeswax, and beeswax absolute. Yellow beeswax is the crude product obtained from the honeycomb. White beeswax is made from yellow beeswax by bleaching, and beeswax absolute is made by treating yellow beeswax with alcohol. Yellow beeswax is the crude product obtained from the honeycomb no bleaching or treating with alcohol.

One of the best benefits of using beeswax on the skin is the moisturizing and the softening. Beeswax contains Vitamin A and provides long-term moisturizing, actually locking moisture into the skin. Unlike petroleum based parabens, beeswax remains biologically “alive” even after it is processed!

Besides offering your skin a natural moisture and glow, the anti-allergenic and anti-inflammatory properties of bees wax can actually soothe easily irritated skin, making it one of the best skin care ingredients for those who suffer from allergies or other skin problems like rosacea or eczema.

Along with being a good alternative skin care ingredient for those with allergies, the anti-germicidal properties of beeswax have been found to help heal minor skin cuts, abrasions, scrapes and wounds. Beeswax also acts as a layer of protection when applied to the skin, protecting the skin from environmental irritants and even the weather. Beeswax lip balm is one of the best ways to keep your lips from getting chapped during these cold and windy winter months!

Small tears in the anus (anal fissures). Early research suggests that applying a mixture of beeswax, honey, and olive oil to the affected area for 12 hours reduces pain, bleeding, and itching due to anal fissures.
Antibacterial. Beeswax may have mild antibacterial properties, according to a 2005 study   conducted at Dubai Specialized Medical Center in the United Arab Emirates. Researchers combined honey, olive oil and beeswax, then applied the mixture to laboratory plates on which the bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, and the fungus, Candida albicans were growing. The honey/beeswax mixture inhibited the growth of the bacteria and fungus, making beeswax, along with honey, potentially beneficial in the treatment of diaper rash and other bacterial skin conditions.
Diaper rash. Early research suggests that applying a mixture of beeswax, honey, and olive oil to the affected area four times daily for 7 days reduces symptoms of diaper rash.
Fungal skin infection (tinea versicolor). Early research suggests that applying a mixture of beeswax, honey, and olive oil to the affected area three times daily for 4 weeks improves a fungal skin infection called tinea versicolor.
Hemorrhoids. Early research suggests that applying a mixture of beeswax, honey, and olive oil to the affected area for 12 hours reduces pain, bleeding, and itching due to hemorrhoids.
Ringworm (tinea corporis). Early research suggests that applying a mixture of beeswax, honey, and olive oil to the affected area three times daily for 4 weeks improves ringworm.
Jock itch (tinea cruris). Early research suggests that applying a mixture of beeswax, honey, and olive oil to the affected area three times daily for 4 weeks improves jock itch.
Wound healing. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, beeswax has been found to help encourage the healing of wounds. Studies have even found that it may be effective against hemorrhoids.
Pain Relief. Beeswax can make an effective salve for aches and pains. In a small saucepan, simmer 1 tablespoon chickweed powder, 1tablespoon wormwood powder, and 2 pints of sweet olive oil for 3 hours. Strain, add 3 ounces of beeswax and 10 drops of tea tree oil, and pour into individual tins.
