Four months passed since our center closed. I remembered at the beginning I was joking that if everyone were warning masks then I didn't need to. 

Timing, garlic needs to be planted at cool temperatures.
" Wherever you plant, keep in mind garlic requires cool temperatures of 32° to 50°F during its first two months of growth. Cool temperatures at planting time are important for garlic to establish its extensive root system."

Spacing, onion and such need space in between when planted if you want a good size of it.
"If you're planting for a harvest of green onions, they can be as little as 2 inches apart. For normal "medium"-sized onions, 3 to 4 inches is appropriate; for extra-large varieties, 4 to 5 inches."
