The Swiss Family Robinson

I’m surprised to found out that the author of the book, The Swiss Family Robinson, is a pastor.

Or I should say it’s not a wonder that if you start to read the book. The way when confront life threaten situation, there’s no complain or condemn. The father pray to the Lord and give the control to Him, even there’s a chance the whole family may lose lives at the shipwreck.

In the story, the main characters are The Swiss Family Robinson, father, mother and four young sons. The story begins with the day when they wake up and found that they in the shipwreck and all others retreat without them. Then they abandon the ship and manage to an unknown island safely. There, they start a brand life and whole lot of adventures also dangers waiting for them.

The families also successfully go back to their ship and get back some useful stuffs before the ship sink. They use the knowledge that have and learn something new to survive. Every skill for the life, recognize plants, animal and each other. They still maintain daily prayers and weekly church meeting. That’s really tough when you are that kind of position; you can still be calm and joy.

They plant crops, tan animals into pets. They built a tree house, and discover a cave for living in and store foods. It is a good book to read. As every chapter turns new surprise occurs.
